Ways To Burn Fat

18 12 2009

You didn’t put on weight overnight, and you won’t lose it overnight. However, sometimes we lose sight of that. We think some crash program will help us to magically shed the pounds that we put on from pregnancies or from driving instead of walking or from sitting too many hours in front of the television with a bowl of chips.

The fat has come on gradually over our adult lives, so we need to be willing to work with it to come off as gradually as it needs to. Weight loss supplements of one sort or another certainly have an appeal. But we really don’t know what’s in them as we ingest them into our bodies. We’re correct to be cautious about such things, since often the repercussions are not known until the studies are done many years later.

By that time, we could be adversely affected. No, the old-fashioned commonsense approach to fat burning is almost always the best. Here are two of those kinds of tips. The first is to exercise in the morning. During the night, your body has lived off the carbs it’s stored over the past day’s meals.

In the morning when you wake up, there aren’t a lot of those carb calories left. That means your body is ready and willing to live off the fat cells. It’s how we survived as a species in previous generations when food was not as readily available. Now you can use that tendency we have and give the process another boost.

When you exercise in the morning, you tell your body it’s a good thing to start burning up those fat cells and so you lose weight over time. Speaking of making the most of your morning, eat breakfast. Every good program tells you not to skip breakfast but that guidance should be repeated over and over.

Your metabolism is the fire that burns best when you feed it good food periodically. So eat a healthy, balanced breakfast and announce to your metabolic system that you’re ready to burn calories and fat. Otherwise, your system gets sluggish and just settles down for the day. Not a good thing for weight loss!
